It has been quite a few months since I last posted a blog. It has been a combination of being busy and disgust. I have been in the worst slump of my bowling career for a few months now. I got into a cycle of bowling bad and practicing less. That was a combination of disaster. I can say to anyone out there that if you get into a slump, like we all do, the best thing to do is practice. I gave up on trying to fix my problems and guess what I didn't fix any of my problems. I am happy to say that I have recently started to practice on Sunday mornings again and my game is slowly but surely coming back. First of all, I had gotten to where I couldn't even bowl three games without my wrist hurting and giving out. My timing was completely off and I could not throw the ball anywhere near the speed I was throwing. This morning I went and practiced for the third week in a row. I threw nine games which is a miracle in itself and averaged 206 for all nine games. The real satisfying part was the fact that my wrist doesn't hurt at all and I felt like I was in control of what was happening on the lane. I plan on keeping up with this blog so hopefully I can reconnect with some of the bowlers I used to chat with.
Good night last night

[General]
Finally put a good night together first one in a long time. Started ok in the first game and then blew up in the second and finished ok in the third. We took all seven so that was the icing on top the cake. I got my first 11 in a row game last night so that was the real story.

Lucas,
BrianThanks for bringing that point up; it's so very true. I do find myself over thinking things. A lot of times I'll start off OK then something will go wrong. When I try to correct it I over correct it and spend the rest of the night trying various things that don't work either. Then with about 5 frames left in the night I'll calm down, go back to my original line and things work perfectly. The last few seasons have gone the same way.
